Liplip Terms of Use
These Terms of Use set out, based on the information currently recorded in our internal questionnaire, the basic conditions under which you may use the Liplip service. They will be expanded and refined as additional sections of our questionnaire are completed and our legal positions are formalized.
1. Who We Are and Our Service
The Liplip service is currently operated by an individual, Nedal Abo Almaali, as an unregistered sole proprietor/independent developer. No separate legal entity has been formed yet. Once a company is incorporated, the legal entity name and details will be updated in our internal questionnaire and reflected in these Terms of Use.
The service is presented to users under the brand name "Liplip". This name is used consistently across user‑facing contexts, including the mobile app, website, app store listings, in‑app interfaces, and marketing materials.
The operator is based in:
- Mahallet Marhoum, Tanta, Al Gharbia Governorate, Egypt
Liplip is an AI‑powered language learning application available on mobile and web. It helps users learn and practice foreign languages through personalized lessons, interactive exercises, and realistic AI‑driven conversation practice, including:
- Dynamic lesson creation
- Smart conversation practice with AI tutors
- Audio and pronunciation exercises
- Progress tracking across supported languages
By accessing or using Liplip, you confirm that you understand the nature of this service and that you are eligible to use it as described below.
2. Eligibility and Age Requirements
The minimum age to use Liplip is 13 years old.
- Liplip is intended for users aged 13 and older, including teenagers and adults.
- Use by individuals under 18 may be subject to additional rules under local law (such as involving a parent or guardian where required).
- Liplip does not intentionally offer the service to or target it at users under 13 years of age.
By using Liplip, you confirm that:
- You are at least 13 years old; and
- You have the capacity to enter into a binding agreement with us under the laws of your country of residence, or you are using the service with any necessary consent or supervision as required by those laws.
If we become aware that a user under 13 is using the service, we may delete the account and associated personal data, consistent with our Privacy Policy.
3. Where the Service Is Available
Liplip is available worldwide. The service is accessible to users in all countries, including the EU/EEA, the United Kingdom, and the United States (including California). At this time, there are no specific countries or regions that are intentionally excluded.
Because Liplip is available globally, local laws and regulations may grant you specific rights or impose specific obligations on us. Our internal questionnaire and these Terms will be updated as we formalize our positions on:
- Governing law and jurisdiction
- Dispute resolution mechanisms
- Any region‑specific terms required by app stores or local regulations
Until that work is complete, we do not make any specific promises in these Terms about governing law, jurisdiction, or dispute resolution beyond what is required by the mandatory laws that apply to you.
4. Basic Use of the Service
Subject to these Terms and applicable laws, you may use Liplip for your own personal, non‑commercial language learning purposes.
At this stage, detailed provisions on acceptable use, prohibited behaviors, intellectual property rights, and license terms are being developed through our internal questionnaire. As those sections are completed:
- We will define clearer rules about what you can and cannot do with the service and its content.
- We will describe how intellectual property rights (including our content and any user‑generated content) are handled.
- We will explain any restrictions on account sharing or misuse of the service.
Until then, you should:
- Use Liplip in a lawful manner and only for learning and practice purposes that are consistent with the nature of the service.
- Avoid any attempts to disrupt, damage, or misuse the service or its infrastructure.
- Refrain from using Liplip in ways that would clearly be abusive, harmful, or illegal.
More specific acceptable use rules will be added once the corresponding questionnaire sections are completed.
5. Children’s Use of the Service
Liplip is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly allow users under 13 to create accounts or use the service.
If you are a parent or guardian and you believe that your child under 13 has created an account or is using Liplip, please contact us using the details below so that we can review and, if appropriate, delete the account and related personal data.
6. Changes to These Terms
Our internal questionnaire is designed to be the single source of truth for Liplip’s legal positions and user obligations. As of the "Last updated" date above:
- Sections 1, 2, and 3 of the questionnaire (company and product information, service scope and user base, and data collection categories and sources) are completed.
- Later sections covering topics such as payments and subscriptions, refunds, intellectual property, acceptable use, service modifications and termination, liability, and other legal provisions are still being completed.
We will revise these Terms as we:
- Complete additional questionnaire sections; and
- Review and finalize the related legal positions.
When these Terms are updated:
- We will change the "Last updated" date above.
- We will expand these Terms to cover additional topics such as payments, subscriptions, refunds, intellectual property, acceptable use, service availability, liability, and other legal provisions.
- Where required by law, we will provide additional notice of material changes (for example, via in‑app messaging, email, or a notice on our website).
If you continue to use Liplip after updated Terms take effect, that use will generally mean you accept the updated Terms, subject to any mandatory rights you may have under local law.
7. Contact Information
If you have questions about these Terms or about using Liplip, you can contact:
- Email (general support):
nedal.eldeen@gmail.com - Email (privacy and terms):
nedal.eldeen@gmail.com - Website contact form: via the "Contact us" section on
https://liplip.ai/
As our legal and support infrastructure evolves (for example, if we introduce dedicated legal or privacy contact addresses), we will first update our internal questionnaire and then reflect those changes in these Terms.
8. Status of These Terms and Legal Review
These Terms are an initial, high‑level description of how you may use Liplip, based solely on the parts of our internal questionnaire that have been completed so far. They do not yet cover many important legal topics, including but not limited to:
- Detailed acceptable use rules
- Intellectual property and licensing
- Payments, subscriptions, and refunds
- Service modifications, outages, and termination
- Limitations of liability, warranties, and disclaimers
- Indemnification and other general legal provisions
- Governing law, jurisdiction, and dispute resolution
These and other provisions will be added once the relevant sections of the questionnaire are complete and have been reviewed.
Before relying on these Terms as a complete legal framework, especially for launching or scaling the service, a qualified legal professional should review them alongside the completed questionnaire and any additional documents.
